Unraveling the Chrome Extension: Bonus Reminder for Online Shopping

There is a myriad of Chrome Extensions promising to revolutionize your online shopping experience. Among these extensions, one that has attracted attention, although not for the best reasons, is the Bonus Reminder extension. With an aggregate rating of 2.73 out of 5, this Chrome extension has been met with mixed reviews. A deep dive into user feedback reveals why this online shopping assistant fails to meet shopper expectations.

A Look at the Extension’s Functionality

The Bonus Reminder Chrome extension serves as an online shopping assistant. It aims to enhance your shopping experience by notifying you of cashback opportunities when visiting participating online stores. This extension also promises to ensure you never miss a deal by displaying reminders even in Google search results. It is designed to be a deal aggregator and shopping list manager that assists in filtering shopping deals and applying coupons and discounts.

Positive Reviews

Some users have praised the extension for its functionality and user-friendliness. Tatu Koistinen regards it as a reliable extension, particularly for finding deals from less popular online stores. Metehan Nebioglu echoed these sentiments, calling it an excellent application and system.

Common Complaints

Despite these positive reviews, the Bonus Reminder extension's low aggregate rating is mostly due to a confluence of negative feedback. The main complaints stem from the instability of the extension, with some users alleging that the cashback is frequently less than promised. Arnis, for instance, argued that it's unreliable, citing that many purchases were not registered, and the cashback rate was frequently below the promised 4%.

Aleksandr Baranov and Olga Potapova lamented that the service does not work in Russia. Various users, including murat tekin and Engin Kağan, complained about the discontinuation of the bonus feature. Furthermore, Laura Oksa criticized the extension for its intermittent functionality, stating that it often logs out during use, making it unreliable for consistent use.

Final Verdict: Is the Bonus Reminder Chrome Extension Worth It?

While the Bonus Reminder extension seems promising with its pledge to act as an efficient online shopping companion, the numerous complaints and low aggregate rating suggest otherwise. The unreliability and inconsistencies in the functioning of this Chrome extension raise red flags. Therefore, it may not be the best shopping list organizer, deal aggregator, or online shopping assistant available. For savvy online shoppers, alternate Chrome extensions with higher ratings and positive user reviews are recommended.

Plugin is unstable. Using with AliExpress - very often requires clicking and reclicking and clicking to activate bonus. Also cashback is often less than promised. Around 2.8% instead of 4%. Many purchases are not registered. Reliability below 50%. Used it for 3 years and unable to even cash out 10€ during that time. Even Honey has offered better voucher discounts during 3 years. I'm going to abandon this system. Pointless.
